At TFW49, we are proud to announce once again that our signed professional golfer, Naoyuki Kataoka, will compete in the 2026 Masters Tournament. For Kataoka, 2026 will be a defining year—one that brings his debut at the Masters, an appearance at The Open, and a new challenge on the PGA TOUR.

Kataoka claimed his first domestic major title at the 2025 Japan Open Golf Championship, and with that victory secured his place in both the 2026 Masters Tournament and The Open. Starting the final round tied for sixth, seven shots behind the leader, he mounted a dramatic comeback and captured the title in a playoff.
Kataoka is also set to compete in The 154th Open at Royal Birkdale, which begins on July 16, 2026. Carrying with him the hard work and achievements he has built in Japan, he now steps onto the world’s highest stage.

The journey between TFW49 and Naoyuki Kataoka has continued since 2021. That same year, he claimed his first tour victory at the Japan Players Championship by Sato Foods, and since then, he has continued to grow steadily as a player.
